How to set up an EmDash site on Cloudflare for a business
A guide takes one job on an EmDash site from start to finish. Each names the version it was checked with, so you can tell whether it still applies to yours.
Add a top bar, a slide-in, a sign-up popup or a box in a page to EmDash, with polite timing built in and results counted for you.
Paste your Google Analytics ID, choose who sees the cookie banner, then check that nothing loads until a visitor says yes.
Install the plugin and say who the site is for. The rest of the guide is checking what Google sees.
Install the plugin, let it check every page, then fix each broken link from the list, worst first.
The Registry (formerly the Marketplace) or npm, the sandbox setting the Registry needs, the permissions to read first, and how to update or remove a plugin.
Export your redirects from WordPress, paste them into the SEO plugin, check what it can add, then open an old address to see it work.
We moved a test WordPress site with Yoast, Redirection and Contact Form 7 to EmDash 1.4.0: the steps, the redirects, and the four things that broke.
Make a delivery: choose the form and where its enquiries go, and a test is sent. Each enquiry is then logged, tried again if it fails and kept safe.
Pick what needs approval, then let writers press Publish as usual. The approver sees what changed and approves it, or sends it back with a note.
Your domain, create-emdash, the sandbox setting the Registry needs, editors, email and the Cloudflare bill, in an order that keeps passkeys working.
